Part-time on campus or mostly online – Choose and switch your favorite study mode.
Tailor the program and its duration to your individual needs and interests for greater flexibility. The blended learning approach, as well as the small group sizes, provide for close communication with the professors and your peers. As a part-time student, you can divide your workload into three to maximum six semesters, depending on how much time you can devote to your job or other responsibilities. In addition, lectures are held in the afternoons or evenings to optimize your work-study balance. You can always decide to attend the in-class sessions on campus in Aachen, Germany, or study remotely for each of your modules. Moreover, you can switch your study mode from part-time to full-time once during your studies if your personal situation changes.

These electives allow you to connect with state-of-the-art technology fields, including digital and additive manufacturing technologies, information technologies, and many more. The full portfolio, including the residential technology electives, can be divided into three superordinate technology areas: Production Technology, Information Technology, and Sustainable and Human Technology. Dive deep into a world-leading technology ecosystem at the University of Cambridge. An intensive workshop on innovative ecosystems is combined with campus and company visits to Silicon Fen and a unique insight into student life in Cambridge. You will understand the dynamics of cross-functional innovation teams and analyze the capabilities of innovation ecosystems. You will be introduced to the importance of ecosystem leadership and creatively develop connections for innovation across ecosystems. Working in groups, you will also practice your project team management skills.

The study course consists of 14 modules plus your master thesis. All management related modules will take place in virtual live online sessions mostly scheduled in the evening (CET). For our technology modules, we offer a mix of different options depending on the module itself i.e., virtual live online-sessions, block weeks in Aachen or even weekly on-campus sessions if your schedule allows it. Depending on the module, examinations can be either online or on-campus. Our optional Cambridge Ecosystem Practicum will take place on-campus in Cambridge in the second semester only. Our dedicated study management team will guide you throughout your studies on which courses to choose based on your personal preferences and constraints.
Yes, you must demonstrate at least 20h/week of other responsibilities next to your studies. This can be for example a full or part-time job, maternity leave or caring for a relative.
Yes, the MME TIME program was designed to personalize the study mode and duration around your needs. The workload per module is ca. 6 hours/week in total. The modules are composed of self-study phases for independent elaboration of the learning materials (video lectures, cases, papers, etc.) and compulsory attendance. The more modules you choose to study in parallel, the higher the workload per week you can expect. Our dedicated study management team will guide you throughout your studies on which courses to choose based on your personal preferences and constraints to maximize your personal learning journey.
Yes, you can switch between the two modes once during your studies.
To be eligible to the program, you require a first degree in a STEM related field with at least 125 ECTS plus basic academic knowledge of 10 ECTS in management. If you do not possess the required management knowledge, you are allowed to take up additional courses to close this gap. You will receive the information on which kind of additional courses to take in your admission letter. They must be completed before you register your master thesis. The courses are free of charge. STEM related additional courses to fulfill the requirements are not offered.
RWTH Business School is RWTH Aachen University's further education provider in the field of management. All degree programs are offered exclusively for its students and combine excellent, interdisciplinary, academic teaching with practice-oriented insights. Unlike in consecutive degree programs, students at RWTH Business School already bring professional experience with them. This not only creates an educational experience, but also an intensive exchange at eye level and an exciting professional network. This experience is additionally supported by studying in smaller groups with a special closeness to the lecturers.
