Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH) Aachen is one of the largest technical universities in Germany. It was founded in 1870 as the first Prussian Institute of Technology and was soon recognized as a Royal Technical University. Its long tradition not only serves as a strong scientific foundation, but also makes RWTH Aachen University a place where the future of the industrialized world is envisioned. Today, it is one of eleven universities of excellence with more than 550 full professors teaching more than 47,000 students in 157 degree programs. The university's network makes it possible to identify trends at an early stage, to take an interdisciplinary approach and thus to derive forward-looking strategies for industry that are reflected in the programs offered by RWTH Business School.
