After having worked as a system engineer for around three years, I knew I wanted to study business and get a complete knowledge of how companies came into being and operated, but I did not want to divert myself completely from my technical background. I did extensive research, and what the MME TIME program offered was truly unique. In a nutshell, the study program provided me with the theoretical knowledge I needed to shift to business thinking and also developed my analytical thinking. After graduation, I started as the Global Rollout Manager at Carl Zeiss Meditec in 2021. The future looks bright because I learn something new every day, which keeps things interesting for me. I want to get a deeper understanding of how the strategies we plan today keep businesses relevant in the future in this fast-evolving, high-competition market. So, I see myself developing further in that direction.

Hector Duran Paredes

After working as a Production Engineer in the manufacturing industry for four years, I wanted to change my career path from an engineer to a project manager. The MME TIME program allowed me to make a change in my mindset. While hearing the professors in lectures, discussing the different use cases with your colleagues, and creating and delivering projects, the program changes the way you think about your previous area of knowledge and experience. Now I am working as a consultant, focused on analyzing the most relevant problems companies are struggling with and how they can leverage their knowledge, teams, and technology to face them. I do not have an exact plan for the future. It could be working as a senior consultant, doing a Ph.D., or working as an entrepreneur. The important thing is to be agile and embrace change!
